Accenture IWD's celebration

Giveup? No!! Its too maintstream :P

Accenture out of the blue (as far as I know) decided to have an IWD (International Women Day) celebration in my college on 6th April, 2017 and I received a mail that interested students can tell their achievements for felictation ceremony, so did I. Since the achiever's were to be selected by TnP (Training and Placement cell) of our college, I keep it that way.

As always, we were given the threat to be not able to sit in further placements if we don't attend. And funny part it we were discussing what will be their message this time :P Anyways, I wanted to attend the event as finally something was happening in college and yeah I had hope of winning that award due to some of my achievements, specially this.

We were given the time of 9 a.m. to reach and I knew that event won't start, so I reach at about 9:45 A.M. on that fine morning. That's what me and my friends do to our classes too :P But to my surprise, although event wasn't started but they already have managed to utilise that time and not make us feel bored. I was also surprised to see so many boys in my college for some time other than Taarangana (Uinversity's cultural fest) as even during event's only limited people for Corporate comes. They prepared some activities including GIF maker and diversity wall. I was quite astonished by the preparations made by Accenture as this is very unusual. Well, you have already read my message of diversity wall under sub-heading. It's "Giveup? No!! Its too maintstream :P". I have always followed this mantra in my worst times and people who know me know this very well. Me and my friends also won goodies by making GIF at GIF maker which were quite funny and non-sense and also clicked photos.

After this I guess somewhat around 10:30 event started and I loved the host. Her energy was amazing and she was quite good at handling some issues. Oh! I forgot to mention, Accenture brought their own PA system and I was like good going guys :P During event, we had a dance by girls on IGDTU only and they were Lakshita and ShreeVandana from CSE only. Then they prepared a skit in which they included the audience by asking questions about position of women in society and corporates and what could be done. This also created a somewhat heated environment as a coin is always two sided and unbiased. Then they had a whatsapp game in which audience has to give the answer on whatsapp for a question. Then we had a fun run in which unfortunately two of my friends get tripped :( Then finally the event concluded with felicitation ceremony in which I wasn't awarded though. But it was quite a role call for me.

With an after party by me (due party of my birthday to some of my friends), the day at college ended.

Wait!!! I ain't finished, only college day ended with this not the full day. My hope after not getting the Women's achiever award, that might have god save me a bigger pie come to reality. My team got selected in Smart India Hackathon and I was on the cloud nine. I almost started to dance in auto after seeing this. And finally, the day itself concluded with my message on diversity wall proving itself.
